ENIJE is an explosive display of talent from the west coast of Africa.
The project is the brainchild of Oboja Adu who’s dream was to harness the energy of
new and established African artists to both develop and retain the exciting African arts
and traditions.
AFRICA VIO – the album is also a showcase of musical forms from todays dance scene
such as Hi-Life, Hip-Life, Afro-Pop, and Afro beat fused together with traditional rhythms
and artists from Ghana, Senegal Cameroon and Nigeria.
The result is mystically described as ‘Sankofa’ which translated means to go back for
something you have left behind.
ENIJE translated means ‘happiness’ and this is the state of being we all strive for.
