Scapegoat steht für vielseitige Rockmusik von soft bis heavy, packende Rhythmen, eingängige Melodien, ausdruckstarke Akkorde, harmonische Gesangsarrangements und ausgefeilte Texte. 1993 gegründet wurden mittlerweile zehn CD - Alben mit Eigenkompositionen produziert. Aus einem Songfundus von über 140 Stücken können Komponist Christian Schützenhuber (Gitarre, Gesang, Keyboards),Peter Schützenhuber (Drums, Gesang, Percussion) und der Bassist Marcelo schöpfen. Die Band verkaufte bereits weltweit CD's und ist vor allem im Internet mit einer umfangreichen und stets aktuellen Homepage (http://www.scapegoat-web.de) sowie selbstproduzierten Videoclips bei "You Tube" (Eingabe: scapegoat-web) präsent. Die Band arbeitet ständig an neuen Songideen und produziert im eigenen Tonstudio regelmäßig neue Alben. Dennoch präsentieren Scapegoat auch gerne auf der Bühne ihr musikalisches Schaffen und Können. Der Musikstil kann als "melodic progressive rock" bezeichnet werden, der vor allem von englischen Bands beeinflusst ist, die musikalische Bandbreite bietet sehr viel Abwechslung, so dass für fast jeden Musikfan etwas dabei sein dürfte, das ihm gefällt.
